JOIN NORTH EAST COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUP INC (NECSG) WITH MEMBERSHIP

Becoming a member helps Zillmere Community Centre increase the number of activities and services we provide to the local community.

Become a member of North East Community Support Group for an annual fee of $5. Memberships expire on 30 June each year.

Benefits of membership include:

- Free use of internet for Centrelink form lodgements

VOLUNTEER AT THE ZILLMERE COMMUNITY CENTRE

North East Community Support Group relies on volunteer workers to perform the tasks required for the Zillmere Community Centre to operate each day.

This includes duties such as cleaning, gardening, setting up &/or putting away tables & chairs.

There are also duties assisting with making food parcels & re-stocking our thrift shop as well as assisting at reception.

If you have relevant skills &/or experience and want to work for North East Community Support Group, please call in to reception or complete the below form.

DONATE TO THE ZILLMERE COMMUNITY CENTRE

Donations of cash enable us to provide more, or better, services than our government funding allows. It also allows us to meet operating expenses not covered by our government funding.

North East Community Support Group Inc. is a registered charity so any cash donation over $2 is tax deductible.

You can donate by cash, cheque or bank deposit.

You can drop cash in to Zillmere Community Centre 54 Handford Rd Zillmere.

Cheques should be made payable to North East Community Support Group Inc. and you can post it to North East Community Support Group Inc. PO Box 373, Zillmere QLD 4034.

You can also deposit your donation at the bank. Our bank details are Westpac bank BSB 034-254 Account Number 158 364 Account name North East Community Support Group Inc. and include your name as a reference (1st initial & surname is enough). For us to send you a receipt, you will need to fill in the contact form advising us of the donation and providing a return address we can send the receipt to.

Donations of clothes are also useful and appreciated however there are some items we won’t accept and please don’t be offended if we decline to accept items such as used underwear, socks, or shoes.

Most clothing we will put out for sale at very cheap prices, but some items we will give away free, e.g. we will provide blankets & winter jackets free to the homeless.

Donations of household items are also appreciated and put to good use but, again, please don’t be offended if we politely decline your offer. We do not have space to store big furniture items, therefore we will not accept them unless we have an immediate, or imminent, need for them.

Likewise, electrical items need to be “tested and tagged” before we can give them to a client, so we may not always accept them. Domestic appliances, in good working order, are unlikely to be tagged, so we may sell them “as is” in our Op shop, raising funds we can use to enhance our services.
